Not really. This year really shook me in such a way that I can’t even imagine. So many challenges that almost made me give up. But, thank God for coming through.
I know that I’m not where I am supposed to be, still I thank God for where I am and where He is taking me to.
2026 is gonna be a better year, by the grace of God!
Well, I hope people say that I’m a friendly person—indeed, I am—not snobbish or proud. I keep a straight face most times, and most people mistake it as me being proud.
Tell us about your first day at something — school, work, as a parent, etc.
I loved today’s prompt because it brings back memories of my first day at the industry where I did my Industrial Training.
My uncle drove me there early in the morning. As I alighted from the car, I noticed a few people waiting outside. We exchanged greetings, but I couldn’t shake off the awkward feeling that crept in. Walking through the gate, I saw workers already gathered at the security post, clocking in for the day’s work. I hesitated—what exactly was I supposed to do?
Summoning courage, I walked in. Suddenly, it felt like all eyes were on me—I was the centre of attention, unintentionally the “celeb” of the moment. Lol.
Eventually, I was directed to my assigned department—the laboratory. I kept my composure: cool, calm, and collected. I followed every instruction diligently.
To my surprise, everyone was incredibly kind. The lab staff and even the factory workers welcomed me warmly. Their friendliness honestly left me baffled—in a good way!
What made my IT experience so enjoyable wasn’t just the work, but the people. Each department had kind-hearted individuals, and despite the demanding nature of the job, we always found time to laugh and play together.
Have you ever performed on stage or given a speech?
Yes. I have. But, it was hard—as an introvert. The first time I did, I actually wished that the ground would open and swallow me. 😂
The second attempt was worse. I stuttered because of nervousness. I developed stage fright. Over time, I began to loosen up. I also watch YT videos on public speaking, TEDx, and so on. It still helps me.
You see, it is one thing to face the crowd, and it’s another thing to give an excellent speech.
Social media. I can stay off social media for months. It’s just time-consuming, because you get to see interesting things and by the time you scroll up and down, the day is already over.
