Do you have a favorite place you have visited? Where is it?
My maternal grandparents’ home. One of my favourite places. I visit every December—after Christmas—and some other days too.
I will def pay them a visit this month. I miss them a lot.

Share five things you’re good at.
Today’s prompt honestly cracked me up. It’s funny because, truth be told, even I sometimes struggle to identify what I’m actually good at. Lol. But after giving it some thought, here’s what I came up with:
1. Writing:-
I can write about almost anything—the words just flow like an endless stream. I’m not much of a talker, but my pen speaks volumes.

It’s like my mouthpiece when my voice feels silent. Interestingly, my written English is way better than my spoken English. No shame in that!
PS:- I’m making a poem collection. Don’t tell anyone yet. 🤫😉
2. Drawing:-
Art is another passion of mine. I’m still learning and growing, though I haven’t been as consistent on my art journey as I’d like.
But each time I create, I feel peace. There’s something healing about bringing ideas to life with a pencil or brush.
3. Cooking:-
Surprisingly, I’m pretty good in the kitchen—even though cooking feels like a chore most days. Funny thing? I don’t even like takeout. I’m all for homemade meals and the comfort they bring.
4. Keeping a Straight Face:-
This one’s weird, but true. I can keep a straight face in almost any situation. Some people misread it and think I’m proud or snobbish, but nah—it’s just my default setting. Lol.
What is one thing you would change about yourself?
I’ve come to realize that I don’t necessarily need to change who I am. Rather, what I need is improvement—refinement for the better version of myself.
Spiritually, I desire deeper intimacy with God. I want to study His Word more intentionally, pray more fervently, fast with purpose, fellowship consistently with other believers, and saturate my heart with spiritual songs. These aren’t just religious routines—they are vital steps in my spiritual growth.
Socially, I know I’m not the most outgoing person. I avoid crowds and chaotic environments. I sometimes struggle with sustaining conversations, which makes people think I’m boring. But that’s not the full story. There’s more within me, and I believe I can improve in meaningful connection, one step at a time.
So no, I don’t need to change who I am. I just need to grow into who I’m becoming. And that growth—spiritually, socially, and personally—is the goal.
Are you more of a night or morning person?
I’m undeniably a night person. While many attach negativity to the dark, I see it as a canvas of calm. There’s a kind of peace the night brings—a stillness that soothes, a quiet that speaks.
Sure, I read during the day, but at night, my mind feels most alive. I love taking strolls beneath the stars, letting the cool breeze brush past me like a hymn of rest.
Confession? I often get hungry in the dead of night. And yes, I indulge—pretending my belly fat isn’t keeping track. I don’t belly fat, though. 😂
I’m a Christian, and I carry the light of the world. Though light and darkness aren’t meant to mix, I walk into the night not to blend in, but to shine through.
What are your feelings about eating meat?
Meat—red, white, organ, grilled, or roasted—is a common part of many meals around the world. It’s packed with nutrients like protein, iron, zinc, and B vitamins. But while meat is good, not all meat is good for you.
That’s why I always say: Don’t just eat to be full, eat to be nourished.
It’s not about stuffing our plates with just anything labeled “meat.” It’s about choosing good, clean, and fresh meat. The kind your body will thank you for. Because honestly, not every piece of meat sold in the market is safe or healthy. Some are stale, “overprocessed”, or poorly preserved. And eating such can do more harm than good.
I’ve also come to understand that some religions discourage eating meat altogether—perhaps for reasons tied to purity or discipline. Others, for personal or health reasons, choose a vegetarian or vegan lifestyle. And that’s perfectly fine. Choice is powerful. And everyone should be able to eat according to their conviction.
But if you’re like me, and you do eat meat, make sure it’s quality over quantity. Your health depends on it.
What are your two favorite things to wear?
I couldn’t help but chuckle when I saw today’s prompt—it felt like it was written just for me. Shirts (or polos) and trousers are hands down my favorite outfits. There’s just something about the comfort and freedom they give. I love shirts so much that my wardrobe could pass for a mini boutique. And yes, I’m still planning to buy more!
Whenever I pass a shop filled with shirts, I pause. I stare. I admire. It’s like a silent love story—me and those neatly folded fabrics, calling my name.
Now, skirts—especially *fitted* skirts—are another story entirely. They make me feel restricted, like I’m in a stylish prison. Take today, for example: I was heading to church in a fitted skirt and could barely walk briskly. My legs were protesting the whole way.
When it comes to travel, trousers are my best companions. If you’ve traveled within Nigeria, especially through Lagos or Ibadan, you’ll understand. Those drivers? Let’s just say trousers help you move smart, climb fast, and fight for your space if needed. 😂 It might sound funny, but it’s true. It’s part of surviving the hustle.
Nigeria is a place like no other. It might test your patience, but it’ll win your heart. Trust me—you’ll have stories to tell.
What technology would you be better off without, why?
Television…lol.
I mean, I have YouTube, Movie box, Netflix on my smartphone and even my laptop where I can watch any kind of movies, drama series, crime stories, news, and educational videos (I do YouTube a lot).
YouTube has helped me in so many ways that I can’t even imagine.
I’m not trying to discourage anyone from watching TV. TV is good, but I’m better off without it.
What’s the hardest decision you’ve ever had to make? Why?
I don’t think I have made the hardest decision yet. But, I have made some hard decisions and they took a little toll on me.
I had to let go of addiction to some things and obsession, because of my faith. I couldn’t compromise. It was hard, trust me, but the Holy Spirit comforted me and strengthened my faith the more.
But, all these were for my good. That may I become a better person, a better Christian, a true believer of God’s Word, and a faithful servant and follower of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Do you or your family make any special dishes for the holidays?

In my family, holidays—especially New Year’s Day—are more than just dates on the calendar. They’re moments wrapped in tradition, laughter, and most importantly, food.
We don’t really make any special dish. But, our signature dish? Pounded yam with either vegetable soup or egusi soup (you’ll def relate to this if you’re Nigerian). It’s not just a meal—it’s an experience. The rhythmic pounding of the yam, the rich aroma of simmering spices, the vibrant colors of the soup… it all builds anticipation before the first bite. 😋
On New Year’s Day, the whole house smells of home. Conversations flow as freely as the soups bubble on the stove. It’s how we welcome the year, after dedicating it to God—warm, united, and thankful.
If you’ve never had pounded yam with egusi or vegetable soup, you’re missing out on a feast that feeds both body and soul.
In our home, that’s the taste of celebration.
If you didn’t need sleep, what would you do with all the extra time?

Hahaha, I love today’s prompt—it gives me the chance to share a bit about myself.
Sleep is good for the body, but when it becomes too much… well, that’s another story. I’m a night owl (definitely a late sleeper), but not always an early bird (early riser). Don’t judge me. That’s because I stay busy when I’m not asleep.
So, if I didn’t need sleep, I’ll just do what I love to do:-
1. Reading:- One beautiful way to learn. Gaining knowledge from people and books is something I deeply enjoy. I love reading—sometimes even soft copies (eBooks). But too much screen time hurts my eyes (which is one reason I’m cutting down on it). Reading
2. Writing:- I love writing. In my notes. In my brain, lol. It’s what I’m passionate about. (Side gist:- I’m working on something.)
3. Language lessons:- I have this passion about learning foreign languages and everything they entail. It’s not easy, but I keep going. Why? Because I’m driven by passion. Yes—passion and determination are all you need.
4. Meditating:- As an introvert, this is the thing I do most. It should’ve been first, but I saved it for last on purpose. Meditation is powerful. It frees your heart and mind from the baggage of unnecessary concerns.
I always say: “Think. Don’t worry. Let God take care of your worries.”
If you don’t know how to start, begin by meditating on God’s goodness in your life. First, in general.
Then your family, your friends. Think about your past—don’t dwell there—then your present, and your future.
So today, I urge you: try meditation. You might just find peace waiting for you there.
That’s all for now!
See you in the next Daily Prompt. 😉
